That was absolutely delightful 👏. Superbly shot, interesting commentary and beautiful music clearly recorded, considering the conditions. Thank you both. I now live at the eastern edge of the Durotriges region, in Hants. But I was raised in Sturminster Newton, spending my childhood in the woods and river Stour. And will always love Dorset. Lucky to have a mother who among so many things, was a keen entomologist, and we would spend many memorable evenings on Hambledon and Hod, in search of spectacular butterflies, orchids and the great green grasshoppers (actually bush-crickets). Viewing this was very much a nudge for me to make the effort to drive over and spend a day climbing them again - 60+ years on. I don't know I've got this far, loving everything 'Dorset', without finding your music before: but I'm thrilled to have found it now - thank you. Are you due to play at the Exchange in Stur, anytime in the near future?

I planted 160 trees 3 years ago and have lost c.10%. My main problem is deer - the trees all seem fine in spring and early summer and then the deer come calling and trim the top off many trees, and also snap Alder branches - never seems to be any other tree that gets that treatment. My cherries seem to like the soil more than any other tree, they are thriving and seem more or less untouched by deer. Keep doing what you're doing and having fun.
